McGregor loves his brands! His current favorites are Hermès, Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci. His famous white mink coat was made by Gucci with a reported cost of $150K!!!

But Mr. McGregor is most famous for his wardrobe of impeccable made-to-measure suits. His wardrobe is filled with suits from his favorite designer David August (and that includes the infamous “F#CK YOU” suit which was specially made for his media events in the build-up to his legendary boxing match with Floyd Mayweather in August 2017.)

UFC fight star Conor McGregor is best known for his athleticism and style in the Octagon but when he’s not fighting the toughest dudes on the planet, he’s making headlines for his exquisite suits which showcase David August’s impeccable tailoring with just a hint of sarcasm!

Who is Conor McGregor?

Conor McGregor is a boxer, martial arts expert & businessman. “The Notorious” Irishman Conor McGregor is undoubtedly the biggest star in combat sports (and possibly the whole sports industry) today.

After winning both the featherweight and lightweight titles, Conor has remained undefeated but has now been stripped of the lightweight belt due to inactivity.

Born in Dublin, Ireland, in 1988, Conor was born into a rough neighborhood and is an incredible example to every working-class man that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible!

What has Conor achieved & how much is he worth?

He started his career in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2013 and won the featherweight title in 2015. The following year he defied the odds to become a two-weight-class champion by winning the lightweight belt.

McGregor fought (and lost to) boxing genius Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2017. The fight earned him an estimated $100 million! Conor entered Ireland’s Independent rich list in early 2018 with a staggering net worth of around €140 million ($170 million).

Conor’s brush with the law in April 2018

Two days before UFC 223 (being held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York), Mr. McGregor arrived with a group of his buddies at the end of a media event. He then proceeded to cause chaos which culminated with a hand-dolly being thrown at a bus window. The broken glass caused minor injuries to a few of the UFC fighters inside the bus, two of which couldn’t fight due to damage sustained by the attack! Dana White (the UFC President, called the incident the “most despicable thing in UFC history!” Conor was arrested and charged by the NYPD with three counts of assault and one of criminal mischief.

Conor’s “fly-on-the-wall” documentary

In the autumn of 2017, fans of the fighting legend got a glimpse of what Conor’s normal life is like in an intriguing documentary simply name “Notorious“. Edited from four years of footage, the documentary follows his rise to stardom from his early fights to his “lightning-quick” knockout of Jose Aldo, and his devastating loss to Nate Diaz.

Conor McGregor on social media

Like many of us, Conor loves to engage with the world with his Twitter and Instagram! On Instagram, you can find him as @TheNotoriousMMA. At the time of writing, he has a whopping 23.5 million followers and a further 7.2 million on Twitter.

The champion loves to use his social media to “trash talk” before upcoming fights and plug his many endorsements and show off his latest cars! …but there is a lot more to him than that…….of late, Conor’s social media posts have increasingly been about his new baby boy Conor Jr…..(just when you were starting to think that he didn’t have a soft side!!!!)

The suits of Conor McGregor

Conor has a deep love for custom-made bespoke suits!!! As with his unique and unconventional fighting style, his fashion is an extension of his personality.

The tough man isn’t beholden to any of the conventional “style rules” but if you look closely, you will discover a few of his favorite looks.

His bespoke suit jackets & trousers always match perfectly with his “relatively informal” shoes, vividly colored socks (if he’s wearing any at all!), cheeky bow tie, and classic pocket square.

You’ve probably never seen Mr. McGregor in anything that isn’t “slim fit” but his perfect tailoring never looks too tight for his muscular physique.

He usually sticks to suits with one main pattern which he backs up with plainly colored items so his outfits virtually never “clash.”

Conor’s custom-made suits fit him like an MMA glove, which is the key element to why he looks so damn good! Even Roy Nelson (a heavyweight UFC fighter known as “Big County”) would look pretty good in a properly tailored, made-to-measure suit!!!

So if you have an old suit laying around, a few alterations could transform it into something hip & cool in no time! When you buy a suit, it is always a good idea to “cost in” 20-25 % of your budget for alterations to get it looking perfect.

Unlike most men of his age, McGregor finds every opportunity he can to wear a suit. It’s a new phenomenon that is seeing more and more athletes dressing for success after realizing that their appearance (when not engaged in sports) can play a huge role in their overall image and success within their chosen sport.

All of his suits are custom-made. The design, cut, cloth, and many customizations are all carefully selected to draw attention to his awesome physique. On closer observation, Conor appears to delight in using outrageous patterns, sporting narrow lapels, and embracing gorgeous jacket linings to create his one-of-a-kind “sartorial look!”

Who makes Conor McGregor’s suit brand?

David August has skillfully crafted some of the finest custom men’s wardrobes in the world. Led by Founder, Creative Director, and Chief Executive Officer David August Heil, he has delivered custom-made suits and casual clothing to some of the world’s most famous celebrities & public figures.

Their list of customers is long but distinguished and features names such as; Kobe Bryant, Frank Gehry, Jeff Koons, Warren Buffet, Elon Musk, Tony Robbins, Andrea Bocelli, Clint Eastwood, Sylvester Stallone, Robert Downey Jr., Will Smith, and Presidents Clinton & George W. Bush.

McGregor’s collection of three-piece suits is literally in the hundreds but the really famous one is made from wool with a pinstripe. This is the one that McGregor wore to the press conference in Los Angeles which hilariously displayed a message in the pinstripes, which read “F*CK YOU.’’

August estimated that Conor spends more than $1 million on his wardrobe and a large piece of that goes to him! McGregor spends between $5,500 and $8,500 on each suit, a sports coat costs him about $4,500 to $10,000, and a dress shirt is simply a steal at $565 to $895!!!

Conor McGregor’s waistcoats

Most guys these days think of a waistcoat as something they wear in “Downton Abbey” with little or no use at all! …..but not only can a waistcoat transform your look, but it can also have a huge visual effect on your body!

Properly fitted waistcoats have a wonderful slimming effect and although you won’t look like a fully-cut McGregor, it should make you look a little thinner if it’s tailored correctly.

If you are lucky enough to have a thin waist, a good quality waistcoat will have the effect of widening the shoulders and accentuating your trim midsection

Conor McGregor’s shorts

Just Google “Conor McGregor shorts’ and you will be presented with over 5 million results. Maybe we guys are Googling to find out how we can look that good in a pair of shorts……or maybe the ladies are Googling to get a glance at his substantial man package!

Whatever the case, all you need to do to look as good as Conor in a pair of shorts is drop by your local Gucci store with your credit card…..and reduce your total body fat to the single digits!!!

McGregor spends around $500 for a nice pair of shorts and when you’re built like him…they’re totally worth it!…..but the idea of them is completely free! If you take a sec to study the pic, you can see that the shorts fit perfectly around the waist and have a smart appearance without being remotely tight.

If you have access to a half-decent tailor, you can achieve the same look but also pay attention to the length of Conor’s shorts. There’s always room for personal taste, but the mid to lower thigh is the coolest length right now.
